Capacitor Type Insulation Structure Current Transformer

The main insulation of the positive-type capacitive insulation structure is all wrapped on the primary winding. If it is an inverted structure, the main insulation is all wrapped on the secondary winding. The main winding structure often uses U-shaped primary windings and inverted windings.

In order to fully utilize the insulating properties of the material, a conductive or semi-conductive electric screen is provided in the insulation to divide the oil paper insulation into a plurality of insulation layers, and each pair of electric screens together with the insulation layer is a capacitor, in order to ensure that the voltage is on the electric screen. Evenly distributed, should make the electric capacity between every pair of electric screens basically the same, usually design according to the principle of equal thickness insulation, namely the thickness between each adjacent electric screen is equal to each other. At the same voltage, the total thickness of the capacitive insulation is thinner than the chain insulation, which can save materials and is widely used in current transformers of 110kv and above. These electric screens are also called main screens. The innermost sub-panels of the electric screen are pressed to make electrical connections, called zero screens, and the outermost electric screen is grounded, called the final screen or ground screen. Inverted structure is the outer layer of electrical screen connected to high voltage, the innermost electrical screen grounded. The end of the capacitive insulated electric screen is an extremely non-uniform electric field. In order to improve the electric field distribution, several short end screens (also called sub screens) are arranged at the ends of the two main screens to reduce the thickness between the end insulating screens.
