The greater the electricity consumption, the greater the current passing through. If the meter is not connected directly with the transformer, then the meter needs to improve its current bearing capacity, thus greatly increasing the cost of the meter. There is error in the mutual inductor, and the meter itself has errors, so the measurement is more precise without the transformer. 5A is generally used in meters or metering, 1A is generally used in signals or sampling. The ratio of the current transformer with 1A can be understood as the multiple relation between the first and second times. Take the 50/5 current transformer as an example. The primary rated current of the transformer is 50 A, and the secondary rated current is 5 A. That means the current transfer multiple between the first and second times is 50 divided by 5 equals 10. This transformer can transmit the primary current to the secondary meter or protective device by a factor of ten. When the primary current is 10 amperes, the secondary circuit actually only has a current of one ampere. When the primary current is 20 amperes, the secondary circuit will have a current of two amperes, and so on, as you said, the rated current of 30 amperes. A motor, using a 50/5 transformer, has 25 amperes of current in its winding. In fact, only 25 amperes of current in the current coil of the motor's ammeter are divided by a current of 10 times equal to 2.5 amperes. In other words, the ammeter with a transformer can read directly according to the number on the dial when reading, without multiplying the rate, but if the current detected in the secondary circuit is converted to the primary current, it will multiply the rate.
